Meet Dr. Lucy
A native of Kiambu County. Her educational roots trace back to The Alliance Girls High School and Kabarak High School, where she successfully completed her A-levels. The University of Nairobi became her next destination, where she passionately pursued her Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery. (BDS)
Venturing into the world of dental practice, Dr. Lucy felt the call to expand her horizons and enhance her expertise. This led her to embark on a journey towards her Masters in Public Health at The University of Nairobi, all while dedicating herself to educating aspiring dental professionals as a Lecturer in the same institute.
In 2004, Dr. Lucy moved to the United Kingdom, London, where she enrolled at the University College London to pursue her Ph.D. in Dental Public Health. She honed her skills by working at Abbey Dental Clinic, gaining valuable experience in corporate dentistry over the next five years. However, her heart always yearned to return to her roots in Kenya.
In 2011, Dr. Lucy turned her dreams into reality by establishing her own dental clinic in Westlands. For her, the key to exceptional patient care lies in the seamless fusion of quality service with a distinct personal touch. This philosophy is woven into the fabric of her clinic, where cutting-edge technology, seasoned and qualified dentists, modern facilities and use of bespoke interior design converge to create a unique patient experience.
With over 30 years of dedicated service in dentistry, Dr. Lucy transitioned into the role of CEO. Along the way, she has played pivotal roles in the dental industry, serving as a Council member and holding the position of National Secretary at the Kenya Dental Association. Her influence extends beyond the clinic, as she has been a source of valuable knowledge on oral health through media outlets like Inooro TV and Citizen TV.
Driven by her passion for teaching and commitment to oral health, Dr. Lucy embodies the essence of a teacher at heart and a dentist by profession. If she wasn’t a dentist, she would be a commercial farmer. In her spare time, she loves playing the guitar and cooking Japanese, Chinese and Korean Food with a Kenyan twist.
